Global Carpets, a leading mobile flooring showroom in Ireland, wanted to modernise their online presence and streamline their booking process. Their goal: make it easier for customers to book consultations and for staff to manage appointments efficiently.

Objectives & Challenges

  • Initial Objective (2022): Migrate website hosting, email, and SSL certificates for a secure, reliable foundation.
  • Project Kickoff: In late 2023, we assessed the existing WooCommerce setup. While functional, the booking process needed refinement for better automation and user experience.
  • Secure LEO Grant for Website upgrade.
  • Retain Branding, keep the existing logo, colour and branding.
  • Stripe Integration, payment gateway for completed projects was required.
  • No downtime, they needed a beta site setup and tested and then an instant switchover to the new system to avoid any downtime.

Our Solution

We delivered a comprehensive website revamp, focusing on: - Custom Booking Engine: Intuitive 3-step booking system for effortless customer scheduling. - Google Calendar Integration: Bookings sync directly with staff calendars, boosting internal efficiency. - Automated Branded Email Notifications: Customers receive instant, professional confirmations—building trust and brand consistency. - Technical Enhancements: DNS management, DMARC/DKIM/SPF, Stripe integration with custom branding, business-grade hosting, and SSL security.

DNS Management for Email Deliverability & Security

This was a vital part of the entire process as without the automated emails hitting the inboxes with the bookings it would fall flat on its face. Being an old fart helps in these matters as we know how to avoid the spam traps and setup the email security to pass through the various servers with full PASS credentials. Global Carpets have an accounting software that needed to be aligned with the email server and so it made sure that correct handshaking was done on all sides and that emails functioned as expected.

Google Calendar Booking Details for Staff

The Google Calendar app is installed on a tablet and used by Paul when he is on his rounds working and managing the appointments. At the tap of a button he has the customers telephone number and Eircode location.

Standalone Sales Console Landing Page

Potential customers can make a booking directly from a streamlined landing page, designed specifically for the furniture showroom’s sales console—no distractions from the rest of the website.
